Inception, then three phases
DTON grows in order. Each stage goes ahead only if the evidence from the one before supports it.
The sequence
Targets from the founding publication. They are not forecasts or guarantees. A phase that does not meet its gate does not go ahead.
- Before the Inception Phase
Foundation Readiness Program
Six months to verify the evidence, secure the title to what DTON owns, review the platforms, specify what the pilot needs, assess Austin and Benin City, and put governance in place. Funded by the $1M Catalyst Grant.
- Inception Phase, months 1 to 24
Build and prove the pilot
A pilot of 700+ deployed and 850+ listed vehicles in Austin and Benin City, with the platforms, stations and team needed to run it. The phase has pass-or-fail gates, including one at Month 9 and one at Month 24.

Electric vehicles and operators, phase by phase
Targets from the founding publication, shown on a log scale. Each phase goes ahead only if the one before meets its gate. One operator per vehicle.
